Football (Soccer) Scholarships

Male and female soccer scholarships are offered at over 1600 universities and colleges at the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA level. Within these three governing bodies universities and colleges have various entry requirements, providing prospective student-athletes with the opportunity to find the right level for them.

A student on a soccer scholarship represents their university or college soccer team on a full-time basis whilst completing a degree, an opportunity unique to the USA. Academic life is extremely important and soccer players will be expected to maintain a certain academic standards in order to be eligible for scholarship funding.

To be considered for a soccer scholarship you should have at least competed at high school level and be committed to furthering your education. The majority of university and college coaches are looking for players who can make an immediate impact and improve their current squads. Therefore, the higher level you have competed at, the more attractive you will be to them.

It is important that our staff have the opportunity to assess your skills and we will provide a detailed written report about every player assessed. This assessment will determine our opinion on you as a player and allow us to make judgement as to whether you have what it takes to attract scholarship funding.
