When Andy Cormack first tried out at a United Sports USA assessment match the staff were very optimistic about his potential but he had a lot of hard work ahead of him to get to where his is now.
Since being offered his soccer scholarship at St Francis College NY, he has surpassed all expectations and it is not too early to say that he will go down as one of the great players of the St Francis men’s soccer program.
This past weekend Andy was again the hero as he scored the game winning golden goal from a 25 yard free kick vs Saint Francis (PA) to claim his team back-to-back NEC tournament championships! This was an exact repeat of last year’s NEC tournament championship match vs Bryant University.
This will propel St Francis NY Terriers and Andy Cormack to their 2nd Straight NCAA tournament appearance. Hopefully this time around they can get a favourable first round draw and go a little further.
